Attorney Stephen Daspit grew up in Houston before going to college at the University of Texas at Austin, where he entered the Engineering Honors program and received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. After college, Stephen joined the venture-backed Austin startup NetEffect (later purchased by Intel), where he helped create the first fast and reliable 10-gigabit Ethernet cards, which advanced Ethernet-based clustered servers and shared storage, laying groundwork for the cloud services common in modern data centers. Stephen later earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from the business school at St. Edward’s University and spent over a decade working in manufacturing design with companies such as IBM and Apple to deliver high-quality products with a focus on versatility and usability, while configuring factories around the world in a way that was uplifting and empowering to the frontline employees. Stephen earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University, and through his extensive experience working closely and directly with employees of all levels of experience at a variety of business organizations, Stephen understands the importance of providing clients with personalized attention and maintaining close communication. While Stephen spends most of his time practicing law, he is an independent film enthusiast and also enjoys attending live music and theater performances.
