James E. Ramsey was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. James attended the University of California at Los Angeles, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2003, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies. James received his Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law in 2006. After graduating from law school, James practiced in Los Angeles, California primarily as a civil and appellate litigator and transactional attorney specializing in commercial law, entertainment law, real estate, and professional malpractice. Since moving to Texas in 2014, James has practiced primarily in commercial, employment and personal injury litigation, with extensive experience in the prosecution and settlement of personal injury claims, premises liability claims, first-party defense of bad faith/UM/UIM matters, commercial litigation claims including trucking, company vehicle, and workplace accidents, and workers compensation claims. When he has the opportunity, James enjoys spending time with his family and friends. James is also an avid outdoorsman, participating in a variety of outdoor activities, including golf, skiing/snowboarding, camping, backpacking, hunting, and fishing. James is an Eagle Scout and is active as an adult leader in Cub Scouting and Scouts BSA.
