From a young age, Sera knew the law was her calling. Inspired by her dad, a criminal defense attorney, she spent her childhood observing him advocate for his clients—often sitting alongside him in court, watching the judicial process unfold. Those experiences sparked a deep respect for the legal system and a lifelong desire to pursue justice.

After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa, Sera went on to attend law school at Northen Illinois University College of Law, where she graduated with high honors. While in law school, she served as a to first year tutor in Torts and Constitutional Law, and also founded the Artificial Intelligence Legal Society, reflecting her interest in the intersection of technology and its use in the courtroom.

Following graduation, she chose to dedicate her career to public service. She became licensed in the state of Illinois where worked as a prosecutor in the Chicagoland area, where she gained invaluable hands-on trial experience and tried multiple cases. During that time, she developed a strong commitment to advocating for victims of crime, whose stories deeply shaped her perspective as a lawyer.

Today, Sera lives in the suburbs of Austin with her husband and their two beloved (and furry) dogs. When she's not practicing law, she enjoys spending time outdoors and discovering new places around Austin. Fun fact: she comes from a family with a strong legal background and is honored to be the first female attorney in the legacy.
