On Sunday May 3 rd, a hit and run accident in Dallas turned deadly all because one driver acted negligently and failed to stop at the scene. The incident - which occurred yesterday at the intersection of Royal Lane and Harry Hines Blvd - is shedding light on the recklessness of drivers who choose to flee the scene of accidents.

According to the Dallas Police Department, a driver in a White Chevrolet Tahoe was involved in a minor fender bender at an intersection. Rather than stop to exchange insurance information, the Tahoe sped off through a red light, where it hit another vehicle and collided into a pole. The driver of the Tahoe was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver was taken to a local hospital for injuries.
