Samantha Smith



Samantha is a native Texan, born and raised in Fort Worth. Samantha graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.A. in Political Science. She moved to San Antonio to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law and fell in love with the city. While at St. Mary’s, Samantha found her passion for helping people. Her passion for justice earned her the Women in the Law Award, the membership in the State Bar of Texas Law Student Pro Bono College, and the Pro Bono and Public Service Award. She also served as the Managing Executive Editor on the board for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice. Samantha graduated St. Mary’s University cum laude. Following law school, she served as a Clinical Fellow at St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice, Immigration and Human Rights Clinic where she represented crime victims in a variety of immigration proceedings. Samantha earned a membership in the State Bar of Texas Bar College for her dedication to learning more about the law. When she is not advocating for her clients, she and her husband enjoy spending time together with their senior rescue dog, Kaiya.
