Mi’esha Smith



Mi’esha Smith is a native of Pinola, Mississippi. She attended Mendenhall High School, and she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Mississippi. She later decided to take a leap of faith and moved to Houston, Texas to pursue her legal career. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law. During her time at Thurgood, Mi’esha served as President of the Black Law Students Association, Parliamentarian of the Student Bar Association, Law Journal Associate Editor, Student Attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, and she competed in Mock Trial. Furthermore, Mi’esha enjoys being a servant leader and giving back to those within the community. She gained a desire to become an attorney after realizing many individuals lacked adequate representation in legal matters. Outside of work, Mi’esha enjoys writing poetry, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family.
